Hey guys. How are you? How’s life? Not too much going on here other than workworkwork. Which is good though, since Rebecca’s coming to visit for the next WEEK. Lucky for her, it’s been so beautiful here the past few days and it’s supposed to continue for a while! Low 70s & sunshine make me fall in love with this place a little more every day. The fresh and salty scent of ocean air that once signaled vacation and boardwalks and summer nights now smells like home to me, and it makes me so happy. I’m also happy to hear that my East Coast friends are experiencing a little warmth as well. :) Nothing like coming into spring after a cold, harsh winter. It reminds me of starting the lacrosse season in high school and running on the muddy fields, everything smelling like dirt and blossoms. Speaking of lacrosse, I noticed the other day that I still wear my lacrosse sweatpants from SIX years ago. Six. They’re also the sweatpants that have the elastic band around the ankle. Yeah, I’m cool.
A few tidbits from this week…
Reading… Divergent. Pretty good so far (thanks, Nicole). Reminded me a lot of Hunger Games in the beginning, obviously, but it’s branching out. Mostly want to read it just so I can see the movie when it comes out, because I have a steadfast rule to always read the book before watching the movie.
Waiting… on these two new books from Chronicle that I ordered–Hello NY and Meanwhile in San Francisco. I didn’t work on these, but they are from the Art publishing group and the illustrators are amazingly talented. I cannot WAIT to give them a permanent home on my bookshelf.
Trying… this trick to help anxiety from Cup of Jo.
Drinking… COFFEE. Lots of it.
Listening… to Augustana, Twin Forks, Miguel, Oh Honey. Augustana & Twin Forks are coming to the Great American Music Hall in SF and Kayla and I already bought tickets!
