Yoga Bitch

My good-read streak finally came to an end with this one. This is the second time I’ve tried to read it, and I just can’t do it. At least I got to 89 pages this time instead of the original 17. Yoga Bitch is a sassy memoir about a woman who, despite her smoking and sarcasm and atheism, decides to attend a yoga camp in Bali for two months before making the big move from Seattle to NYC with her boyfriend, Jonah. After falling in love with yoga, Suzanne stalks follows her instructor halfway across the world to discover that maybe becoming a yoga teacher isn’t all it’s cracked up to be… And that’s where I left off. Who knows what happens? The story reminded me too much of Eat, Pray, Love, but in a bad way. Meh, just wasn’t feeling it. I am craaaaving a good summertime/beach read, so I’m going to check out That Old Cape Magic by Richard Russo, which has been on my list forever. Plus, the author is so accomplished and from Gloversville! Bloggies, what you reading lately?!

PS – Photography definitely isn’t one of my best skills and I’m not the biggest fan of selfies, but something about ABM’s 30-Day Self-Portrait Challenge sounds really fun. Will you all hate me if I share on Insta? Hehe…

  1. Damn, when I read the title of this book, I really wanted to like it!! Eat, Pray, Love SUCKED in my eyes, so something similar to that actually sounds like the worst book in the world. Great review, dolly!
