Let the Party Begin

I am the luckiest girl because Hearst gave us not only Thursday off, but Friday too! Clearly that means I’m trucking home to the 518 right after work tonight with my halfway-finished copy of The Engagements by J. Courtney Sullivan to keep me entertained. Four days of friends, pArTy time, reading in the hammock, poolside chillin’, and snugzin with Bella. I’m a little bummed my parents won’t be around because they’re my besties, but they’re going to be having a blast camping at Taylor Pond so I guess I forgive them. This is a special trip home because I’m reuniting with two of my girlfriends from Geneseo. We were quite the wild threesome back in the day…

…So it should be interesting now that we’re 22/23 and get hungover from one vodka soda. Or maybe that’s just me. I’m also looking forward to seeing my sissy who is now legal (!), my best friend from high school Rachie, and the Mario’s girls (I’m going to be a tearful mess once the reminiscing starts with all of them). I think it’s safe to say that we might be getting a tad rambunctious at my old haunts aka hitting up Judd’s for one or three drinks before the real party begins. I’m only a little excited. Other things on the to-do list:

Moe’s. I mean, obviously.

Mr. Bill’s.

Stewart’s.

Perhaps a hike?

…And apparently all I care about is food. Hope you have an amazing holiday!
