Sweet Summertime

I’m currently on a train to the land of fresh air, home appliances, and Stewart’s ice cream, aka home. What makes this even BETTER than any other weekend home is that… I HAVE A (SEMI) JOB.

Maybe I’m being a little dramatic, but these past eight months have been such a crazy whirlwind that I’m so happy to have something stable that pays more than minimum wage, even if it’s just for three months.

A coworker at O is going on maternity leave, so I’m going to be her temporary replacement. It’s an assistant position on more of the business side rather than editorial, but I’m so happy to be staying at the magazine. I love it there and I’m incredibly grateful that they’ve been amazing to me.

I know I will have to start the process all over again in a couple months, but for now, I’m relaxing and enjoying. What an amazing summer it’s going to be… Bittersweet, too, as this will be my first summer not working at Mario’s after three summers there. Ah, the memories.

Have a lovely weekend, friends. Thanks for listening.
