Exciting Things

It’s an understatement when I say I’m ecstatic that spring is right around the corner (although it doesn’t feel like it when I woke up to a blizzard outside today). I am not a winter person. I would like to meet someone who is. Oh, right. . . My dad. If I had a choice, I’d never set foot outside a day after fall is over. So that’s probably the #1 thing I’m excited about this month. Season 3 of The Voice (March 25) comes in at a close second. Unfortunately, that’s about as interesting as my life gets unless you count splurging on a $14 bottle of Pinot Grigio. Give a girl some credit.

The other things I’m excited about are BOOKS. Duh. I want to share with you guys because there are so many good ones coming out from my fave authors and I don’t want to geek out by myself. The countdown starts now. . .

9780307596864_p0_v3_s260x420April 2: The Smart One by Jennifer Close. Her debut novel, Girls in White Dresses, was amazing and quirky and beautiful and strange. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

June 4: The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen. Only my favorite author of all time, like so many others I’m sure. If you don’t follow her on Twitter, you should. She’s absolutely hilarious. So inspiring, too.

June 11: The Engagements by J. Courtney Sullivan. Her other books, Commencement and Maine, are both serious but engaging and thoughtful reads. Just got the galley at work yesterday!

June 25: Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld. I reviewed one of her other books, The Man of My Dreams, which was amazing. I also read Prep a while ago but have yet to read American Wife. Her books always seem to be very different from each other. Excited to see what her latest will be like.

Happy Friday, loves. Enjoy the weekend.
